Armoured and Dangerous

Unable to come to quick decision even though I had feedback from the fine commenters in this post, I went in another direction. I started to look at armour for my Assassin.

Part of the downfall of having max level be 20 in Guild Wars is that you end up with a lot of alts. Sure there are plenty of benefits too, but it’s really hard to keep up with the 7 max level characters I have, the one permanent pre-searing character, and My PvP slot.

Which is why of course I never got my Assassin, Dervish, Necro or Mesmer any Prestige armour. The Assassin had been sporting some Exotic armour which I had crafted pretty much straight out of Shing Jea. After beginning to waffle over which armour to get, just like with the necro, I threw my hands up in the air and just picked Ancient.

I had all the materials so I didn’t hesitate once I settled on it. That’s one of the great things about being rich in Guild Wars, if you’ve got gold, absolutely nothing is holding you back but your own skill.

Armour in inventory, I headed out for Eye of the North, entered the Hall of Monuments, and clicked on the Resilience Monument. Nothing happened.

Argh. It’s been so long since I played I had no idea at first at why I couldn’t add my new black and deadly armour to the Hall. After a little thinking, I realized my Assassin had done jack crap in EOTN. Facepalm. I had to go finish one of the faction campaigns and get a Tapestry piece for the Hall.

On closer inspection I had finished all of one single quest. Curse of the Nornbear, the easiest one. On the other hand, doing the next 2 Norn quests was a lot better than 3 Asuran or 3 Charr, seeing as how I didn’t even have any outposts unlocked.

Serves me right for being impulsive.

A few hours later, I’ve got 5 sets of armour added to my Hall.
